Ioannis Kakavakis was born and raised in Athens, Greece. He gained his undergraduate degree (BSc in Economics) from University of Tampa. He received his MSc degree in Economics and Econometrics from University of Reading
During his professional career he worked as a professional Econometrician and Financial manager. His main duties were to deliver statistical modeling and quantitative research projects and time-series analysis. Today he is the Managing Director of Metrics Analysis LLP, applying contemporary econometric techniques and he is the Chief Financial Officer of the 4th generation Science & Technology Park, Thess INTEC. Also, he is member of the Board of the association Thessaloniki 21st Century.
